16 Mile Lake Getaway

Quiet and serene cabin right on the lake. Views that will take your breath away. It has a very "cabiny" and cozy feel from the moment you walk in the door. A great option for those wanting a true cabin experience.

The cabin was perfect for our daughter and son in law, and our 2 grandchildren. It was clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities we needed and we enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at the 16 Mile Lake Cottage. It has a perfect UP setting back off the main roads on a beautiful lake. The cottage was clean and very cozy with the perfect lake house feel. We will definitely be back and let all of our friends know about it too.

I wanted to take my family and a couple of their friends for a late summer getaway after a very busy summer.

We had an amazing time at your place even though it rained most of our week there. The lake was beautiful and we got on a paddle board for the first time. My son loved it. Such a quaint cottage and very homey!! Close to all of the things we wanted to do. Kayaked Pictured Rocks, golfed, walked the beaches etc. Highly recommend this place and we will be back again!

We had a great trip despite the weather. This part of Michigan is beautiful. The house soured out perfect and was very comfortable.

Overall experience was good! Great views! Beds were uncomfortable and the temperature dropped and the cabin is drafty. Otherwise great experience, would rent from them again.

The house was comfortable and located close to various sites I wanted to vist and photograph. We had all of the amenities we needed for our stay, including plenty of clean towels/washcloths and kitchen utensils. The only issue we had was the presence of mice. Management was contacted, traps were set and one mouse was caught. However, I saw another one after that. I have to assume that management has since remedied that situation.

I found the cottage to be stinky. The well water was pretty stinky compared to other places we have stayed with well water. The shower was gross. I had to scrub it before we could use it. Also, the row boat only had one oar, the picnic table was covered in mold so we couldn’t use it and slider webs covered the windows and porch so I had to sweep all of that away and clean window jams so we could
Open the windows. Besides that, we had a nice time because we love the area.

This location provided the perfect UP vacation with the bonus of being out of the tourist mainstream and exceptionally clean. The home was bright and welcoming and the amenities were fittingly friendly and generous!

We brought our friends and family to this nice quiet cottage. To get to one of the queen beds, you must go through one of the bedrooms. It does have a folding door between the two. The lake was wonderful and very close to Munising to do all the tourist activities in town. I highly recommend Main Street Pizza in town (if they are open, staffing shortages). I would recommend this cottage for your UP stay! Four out of Five stars! Lovely view, nice facilities but whomever was there last did not do a very good job washing the dishes. Otherwise everything was clean and I was highly satisfied.

This home is the perfect getaway spot. Our family of six fit very comfortably. The lake is beautiful and warm, makes for great swimming and views at all times of day. Everything you need, they have, and more. The kitchen is extremely spacious, plenty of room for cooking or playing games at the table. A short trip up the road puts you right in downtown Munising for sightseeing and shopping. We are looking forward to our next stay at this beautiful location.

Very responsive and helpful in regards to any questions and concerns we had. My only complaint? We were asked what time our arrival would be. I responded with “approximately 2:30” to which I was replied with “check in is at 4”. So why bother asking? I thought early check in was allowed providing that the cabin was ready/available. It was a non-issue really as we were able to easily kill time until 4. Everything else was great though. Loved the cabin, incredible location.

We had a lovely stay. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend.

Great place on the lake. A problem with a leak in the bathroom and outside of fridge being rusty. Beds were comfortable and kitchen nicely stocked. Girls at picturerock rentals very pleasant and helpful

This was a lovely place for a peaceful vacation. The lake was beautiful. The house had everything we needed. The location was close to all the points on Lake Superior we wanted to visit.

Great little find! Very quiet lake that was great to explore. Beds were comfy, clean house, and appreciated the stocked supplies like firewood, life jackets, water toys, grill, towels, everything needed. Beautiful lake!

The lake was wonderful. We really enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board. My middle son enjoyed fishing off the dock everyday. The cabin was cozy and provided everything we needed for our stay. The access to the garage came in very handy as we had gotten a flat tire and needed somewhere to change it in the rain. My only complaint is that there was no air conditioning and only small fans were provided. It was very hot every night we stayed so it made sleeping a bit difficult. Thank you for helping our family make memories.
