Rock House

Traveled w/ my parents and teenage niece for a fall color tour. House was nicely appointed, clean and comfy. Very easy to walk to beach and located in downtown. Would recommend and hope to stay again.

Everything was as advertised. The experience was simple and easy. Good location.

This place is amazing if you have a pup. The fenced in area doesn't have grass but you still have a spot to let the pup hang out outside. Everything is walking distance. Less than a five minute walk to boat tours, the bay side park, restaurants, gift stores, etc. Less than a 20 minute drive to Miner's beach, Chapel Rock, and a lot of other neat spots to see at Pictured Rock National Lakeshore.
The kitchen is stocked enough to make your own breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Overall, we loved out convenient and clean this place was.

The Rock House was very clean and in a great location! The kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the bikes, gas grill and washer/dryer. The Pictured Rock National Lakeshore was very beautiful! We did a kayak tour and some hiking as well. This is a great area to vacation at! Close to many activities, beach, brewery. Lots of waterfalls to see in the area too.

Had a great stay with our family of 4 at the Rock House. The location was so close to everything in downtown Munising and was a great spot to use as a home base for other activities in the area. The back patio was also a great addition to be able to enjoy some dinners outside. The house had everything we needed. Would stay again if we are in the area!

This was a terrific place for us - 2 couples. The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment we could possibly need. The laundry space in the basement was also fully supplied. The house had lots of information about things to do in the area. There was a great deck and patio space in the back with a gas grill and fire pit and a lovely front porch where we could see the harbor. We appreciated the garage as we had to pack up in the rain. My husband also enjoyed taking a spin on one of the 4 bikes provided. Everything was very well labeled and maintained. We could walk to restaurants and shops, and to harbor cruises. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly to others.

Really loved the location of this home: close to many activities, nice Lake Superior view from front porch. And it was very clean. Loved the private yard and fire pit.
The kitchen was very well equipped for all your cooking needs. Really nice to have two bathrooms.

House was very clean and had everything you could possibly need! Easy check in. Beds were super comfy. Nice outside space to relax and enjoy a small fire. Lovely view of the lake from the front porch. There are even bikes and helmets in the garage you can use.

The home was delightful and very well equipped! Lots of info and games for down time! Also access to bicycles! Very clean and easy to walk to anywhere in town!

Our stay at the Rock House was very nice! The location was great - walking distance from many eateries and shops and the lake. We felt very safe and were able to lock our car in the garage. The house was very clean and well stocked. We had some cooler days and warmer days and were able to stay comfortable throughout our stay. The house probably wouldn't be great for very tall people since the stairs and upstairs aren't that high. My husband is 5'10" and he banged his head the first time up the stairs but learned to duck after that. We had trouble getting into the house at first but that was just because we didn't understand how the lock worked. We called for help and someone came right away to show us. It was a great place to stay!

Staying at the Rock House in Munising, MI for a week was perfect for my husband and I, our daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters. The house was so comfortable, clean, cozy. And the kitchen was so well stocked. The front porch and enclosed back deck and patio were perfect for relaxing! With Rock House located in Munising, we had quick access to all the attractions, beaches, tours and it was wonderful to end each day in a comfortable home with plenty of room! We will return to the Rock House if we return to Munising!

The house was in a great location. It was advertised that it was air conditioned. The entire house did not have air as there were only 2 window units: one downstairs and one in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom did not have air at all and got quite warm. The furniture and beds were also well worn.

We stayed for 5 days and loved our time at this house! We brought a small boat with us and we’re glad we could store it in the garage. The kitchen was stocked well for us to cook our own meals. We loved the location as it was so close to so many restaurants! The beds were comfortable although some of the furniture is well-loved. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the second time we had rented the Rock House, and it was nice to see that it had been upgraded in the past couple of years: a new key pad (instead of a key), and renovated upstairs bathroom. The house was spotless when we arrived.
Due to crummy snow conditions, we chose to leave early, since x-c skiing would have been wet and/or icy; we've been traveling to the Munising area for over 20 years, and have never had this problem before. We did hike to Laughing Whitefish Falls, which was lovely.
There are lots of dishes, utensils, and linens to use in the kitchen. A nice quantity of bed and bath linens too. It's wonderful to have a garage, though our car wouldn't fit due to the gear pod on the roof; a normal car would not have a problem.
Great communication with the folks at the rental agency.
One more thing: another review said the house was noisy. In the wintertime, it is NOT. Great location and totally insulated from the outdoors.

This Munising house is very convenient to everything. We were there in late October so it is not clear how quiet it would be at other times. Great stay for us and very quiet. I did report that the house smelled a little like mildew but believe it was going to be addressed by management who responded immediately and offered to move us to another property.

We have been coming to Picture Rock at least once a year for the last 15 years. The Rock House offers above average amenities comparing with other vacation rentals in this area.

House was exactly as described and pictured, great location, very clean and well maintained. Walking distance to bars/restaurants. Was absolutely perfect for two couples. Plan to rent it at same time next year.

We enjoyed our stay the Rock House very much! The house was very clean and super cute and well stocked. It’s location was perfect for us. We could see the water and walk to restaurants and the Pictured Rocks cruise boat dock was within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rock House. It was centrally located, near restaurants and especially the coffee shop for our morning “fix”. The home was lovely with everything we could need and lots of thoughtful touches. We appreciated being able to park in the garage, particularly as it was raining when we arrived.

The house was nice and clean, a perfect size and in a great location. The outside amenities were really nice too, with seating on the front porch, back deck, outdoor fire pit and use of the four bikes. We really enjoyed our stay. Our favorite event was the Rip Tide Ride around Grand Island. Super beautiful and fun! Our favorite restaurant was the pizza place just down the street to the right of the house, I believe it was Pictured Rock's Pizza. Pictured Rocks is a beautiful place to visit!

Great place to stay, this would be my second time staying at The Rock House. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic place. Well equipped, super clean, great fenced backyard, close to everything. Kitchen was very good. Only negatives: the A/C is not strong enough to cool the house in 90 degree, high humidity weather and no soap in the showers.

Loved Rock House! It was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. Easy walking distance to city dock, park, restaurants, stores. Perfect front porch for watching fireworks! We enjoyed all the falls nearby especially Horseshoe Falls. Lots of dog friendly things to do. We also enjoyed the shipwreck tour, day trip to Tahquamanon falls, Whitefish Point, Oswald Bear Ranch, mini golf, Falling Rock bookstore, pottery store and lots more. Would highly recommend staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Rock House! Excellent location, clean and fully stocked with all that we needed. The fact that we were able to bring our dog was a huge bonus! Would definitely recommend!

Great stay! Location is amazing for walking around Munising, house is very clean, and rock-themed decorations are fun. We only stayed one night but it was perfect for us.

Nice and clean house in a good location. Would recommend it if was equipped with air conditioning. No A/C is a bummer in August

Clean, comfortable house in optimum location for dining, shopping, boating, outdoor activities. All of the little touches make the stay delightful. Property managers very responsive to requests and accommodating of needs.

After reviewing lots of options for rentals in Munising, we settled on The Rock House. We were not disappointed! Best decision ever! My husband and I loved it, as it was centrally located for trips to the Pictured Rocks or further west toward Marquette. The house was also very clean! Loved it!
